A development partnership has launched sales of Riva Residenze, a Fort Lauderdale condo branded after a yacht.

WellDuo, Vertical Developments and GCF Development have proposed the condo on the 0.76-acre site at 3019 Harbor Drive, which is along the Intracoastal Waterway and just south of the Bahia Mar resort and marina. The 20-story building would feature 36 condos, ranging from 2,000 square feet with three bedrooms to 6,000 square feet with six bedrooms. Pricing starts at $3.5 million and no short-term rentals will be permitted.

It will include six private yacht slips of up to 65 feet.

Riva is a shipyard in Acona, Italy, and a yacht brand by Ferretti Group.

“Riva Residenze takes the Brand’s signature aesthetics – combining mahogany, steel, the color aquamarine and timeless styling – into the luxury living sector,” stated Alberto Galassi, CEO of Ferretti Group. “The quality and focus on detail that have made Riva famous are unique and universal characteristics that increase the value and appeal of every living space.”

Giuseppina Arena, who designs interiors for yachts, will craft the interior of Riva Residenze to resemble a superyacht. Miami-based Arquitectonica is the architect on the project.

The building would have more than 20,000 square feet of amenities, including a fitness center with a yoga and pilates studio, an outdoor fitness lawn, a movie room, a library, a gourmet kitchen, a golf simulator, two pools, cabin suites for guests, an art gallery, a cigar room and a wine room.

“We are thrilled to partner with Riva to bring the superyacht lifestyle ashore in an unprecedented way,” stated Eduardo Palaez, co-founder of WellDuo. “Riva Residenze is designed to deliver larger residences while simultaneously offering an exclusive retreat for discerning buyers along the waterfront, truly embodying the essence of luxury yachting in a residential setting.”

Fortune Development Sales is leading sales for Riva Residenze. The developer plans to break ground in 2025 and complete the project in late 2027.

It assembled the property for $9.45 million in 2022. It formerly had a co-op building and a 14-unit apartment complex. The developer filed plans for the condo in 2023.

There’s been a boom of luxury condo development in coastal Fort Lauderdale in recent years as more wealthy people move to the city. The city is known as the Yachting Capital of the World and hosts the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.
